Tell us about your experience as a graduate at ResMed?

It has been humbling, really, being surrounded by people with much more experience than you. I got out of school with lots of passion and ready to change the world haha. So my first few months were really humbling, but at the end of the day, it has made me even more excited than before. The work challenges me all the time and there are always so much to do and so much to learn here at ResMed.

What makes ResMed special to you?

The work that we do here at ResMed gives me a sense of satisfaction, knowing there is a bigger purpose to the hard work being put in day in and day out. To me, there are little things that drive me as much as doing work that impacts other’s lives for the better.

Of course, having fun colleagues to work with is probably the icing on the cake.

Do you have any advice to fellow graduates seeking to find a role?

There are probably many advice I can think of but this is probably one of the most important: know your strengths and seek to highlight that in things that you do. Firstly, ensure that you know what you excel in and then make sure people know that too. While applying for a role feels like a competition, doing well in a role is usually a lot of collaboration. And what better way to do that than bringing your best self to the table.

With that being said, remember that at the end of the day, our journey is long and probably hard too (*cough* Covid *cough*), but we all have a part to play in regardless of where we end up in. A teacher of mine once said, “As long as you keep trying, you can only get better”, and I’ve always brought this with me everywhere I go.

The best thing about being a Graduate at ResMed is

To put it simply, it is an exciting place to be in; it fosters a positive environment that allows us to think, solve problem and get creative about our work.
