Method

Place 2 objects 30cm apart. These will hold either end of your bridge so pick something flat and sturdy eg. desk, chair, table

Looking at the distance that the bridge needs to cover and think about how you would build a bridge that will cover this distance using only popsicle sticks and glue

Build a bridge using the sticks and glue

Place the bridge between the 2 objects and see how strong it is – start small and gradually add more weight. Watch how the bridge reacts as you add more weight and notice where it breaks once it can’t withstand any more weight

Based off what you observed build another bridge and see if you can improve how much weight it can withstand
