What makes ResMed unique is that within our walls we still possess a founder spirit. In many ways it still feels like the early days of the organisation.

A critical aspect of maintaining our founder spirit is how we approach decision- making. Everyone strives to make high quality decisions. But we also need to be able to make those decisions quickly and at scale. It’s much easier in a dynamic start-up environment—there are fewer layers of communication and corporate hierarchy to navigate. But as a company experiences growth, they also tend to become more complex. So, it’s critical that we ground ourself in our Founder Spirit.
